Older Mind Matters

April update

April has been a busy month. I'll mention a few headlines.

I have just heard from the Faculties of Old Age Psychiatry and Learning Disability that they have accepted the report on the interface questionnaire study and would like it to be published in a journal. So my task now is to reformat the report and submit it for possible publication.

The report on the Dementia Pathway Coordinator role in the West Midlands has been submitted to the commissioning body, the West Midlands Strategic Health Authority.

Approach is pleased with the success of the carers courses and is planning to continue running them in 2010-2011.

I have also started work on a new project for NHS Coventry with colleagues at Staffordshire University. This project involves looking at the Coventry and Warwickshire workforce and its needs in terms of dementia education.
