Older Mind Matters

More progress to report

I am feeling quite relaxed today - yesterday I handed in the thesis for my PhD by publication. I have to wait now for a viva, probably in the autumn.

More good news has just arrived in my inbox. I can report that two reports into projects I have worked on during the past year are published on the NHS West Midlands website. They are:

Workforce Development for Dementia: Development of the role, associated competence development and proposed training required for the new “Dementia Pathway Coordinator” in the West Midlands to support those with Dementia and their intimate carer(s)

Final report: NHS West Midlands Clinical Care Pathways Project (Dementia) May 2010

and the Royal College of Psychiatrists website now has the Learning Disability interface project report.

It still feels like there's a lot to do but great to see some outputs!

We've also got some new work to do, see this press release.

Congratulations on getting all this work sorted I know you've been working hard on all of it, and I'm sure your thesis will go down well, the version I read was brilliant!

The STAR project sounds like a great idea, I'm looking forward to hearing about how it develops.
